Winter in japan (2020)

Winter In Japan is a symbolic, ritualistic, monochrome short film that follows a man returning to Japan 30 years after working there as a young man. Through quiet train rides, meditative shots of the ocean, and a deep sense of nostalgia, he rediscovers his love for the country and reflects on time, memory, and change. I worked as the editor on this project for Ruby Sinclair, shaping raw iPhone-shot cinematography and a poetic Japanese script into a cohesive narrative. I was responsible for cleaning, colour-balancing, captioning and structuring the footage to create a film that feels both personal and timeless. Below is a segment of the film.
